The project began from PTM walking along a canal each and everyday (walking is a big part of his practice), and then gradually noticing more and more that there where little bags of dog poo hanging in the tree’s along the canal.
At first he was as repulsed as everyone else, however when he began to go out and actually look for the bags, and then began to photograph them in all their glory, the rest, as they say, is history…
Sh*t explores the beauty in the grotesque, looking for human interaction with nature and the landscape. The project seeks to show how we once again, become a part of nature when we do things like place something in the landscape (street art, trash, a lost item and obviously hanging bags of sh*t) or walk for meditative processes, connection becomes the beauty and wonder of the subconscious acts that we take part in.
